More about me, but in the first person . . .

At the age of 11, I wanted to be a professional chef. At that informative age, I was told that cooking was a hobby and I should study for a real career. “You like science, so you should be an Engineer”, I was told by various authority figures.

11 years later, I graduated from The Ohio State University with a degree in Materials Science and Engineering and no desire to be an engineer. Unable to get a Sales Engineering job, I started to work in Logistics and Supply Chain Management.

After a few years of painfully long and boring days, I went back to school to get a Masters in Logistics Engineering to escape work for a year or two. A year later, I graduated with a Masters degree into a gray fabric cube where I would now have far more work and less responsibility.

To escape the monotony of office life, I started to explore the world of professional speaking and consulting. It was while learning about those fields that I found a real passion for blogging, speaking, and helping people figure out how to turn their ideas into a real product.
