Mindset Moves Mountains

Have you ever read one of those stories where the person that is described in the story started at nothing and was able to achieve extraordinary success in their life? They could have become a successful business person, have built an amazing social movement, or achieved an athletic feat.

How were they able to accomplish such things?

They had an extraordinary mindset that allowed them to not fear failure and take massive action.

Mindset Moves Mountains

What mindset allows you to move mountains?

Find a mountain.

Okay, so you might be in Ohio like me, so there are not many mountains around. What about a small hill? Do you have one of those you can think about?

Sit there and think about that hill and think about moving it 100 feet to the left.

Is it going anywhere?

No?

Now try this. Go into the kitchen, get a spoon, and start moving the “mountain” 100 feet to the left.

I know what you are thinking, “Chris, are you nuts?  It will kill me if I move that mountain 100 feet to the left with only a spoon.”

Maybe it will, but sometimes when we want to move a mountain, we do it spoonful by spoonful. It is our commitment to our vision, taking action, and continuing to do what it takes to get what we want that causes success to happen. You might not want to workout everyday, eat a salad instead of a cheeseburger, or write 30 blog posts, but if you are committed to the outcome of moving mountains, you might have to take it one spoonful at a time.

Are you committed to your vision?

Let us all know about it in the comments.
